The Datasource section allows administrators to define what ArcGIS Servers and Databases LocalMaps will use. LocalMaps datasources are used to configure various components in the solution i.e the searcheswhere they would like to pull information from to use throughout the LocalMaps admin. Datasources can be used to configure various components such as searches, reports, feature queries and query parameters that as added to each map. The LocalMaps administrator can add ArcGIS Server datasources, database datasources (SQL . Once these are created they can then be added to a specific map allowing end users to have a tailored experienced with each viewer.

Datasources can be layers from your ArcGIS Online Organization, ArcGIS Enterprise or standalone ArcGIS Server. Alternatively, LocalMaps data-level integration allows administrators to read information directly from SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL and Oracle ) and Hilltop Server datasourcesDatabases. Hilltop Server can also be indexed as a datasource allowing administrators to connect to and pull environmental data in near real time
