The Elevation Profile widget allows users to interactively draw a line and generate an elevation profile. Alternatively, they can select a line feature on the map and use this as the input for the elevation profile. Once executed, a cross sectional profile will appear along the bottom of the screen.

Use the Elevation Profile widget 

1. Click on the Elevation icon to open the widget. The panel will appear horizontally at the bottom of your screen.

2. In the Measure Tab, click on one of the two options:

  • Draw a line - if chosen, you can then click on the map to draw a polyline. Double click to finish drawing your the line. 
  • Select a line - select a line feature within the map.

3. Results are located in the Profile Result tab of the widget. Hover over or touch the Elevations Profile chart to display elevations and show location on map.

4. Click on the ellipsis (...) for more options.

  • Profile Information - Information details about the profile draw including Elevation Min, Max, start, End, Change and DEM Resolution.

  • Prepare Download - Allows user to download the profile as a PNG.
  • Export Profile Data to CSV File - Exports to a CSV including X, Y, Elevations and Distances. 
  • Flip elevation profile direction - Regenerates the profile in the opposite direction. 
  • Clear - Removes profile from the map and panel. The user is taken back to the measure tab. 

5. Click the X in the top right of the widget to close.
