3. Organise your pages
Here are some tips for organising your content.
Change the page order
The sidebar on the left displays your pages in a hierarchy. If you have Space Administrator permissions you can click "Space Tools" > "Reorder Pages" to move pages around.
Add labels
Labels help keep pages organised and make it easier for you to find the information you need. Click "Labels" at the bottom of a page to add or edit. The "Related pages" section on this page uses labels too!
Make templates
Standardise and speed up the page creation process with templates. You can create and format a template with page layouts, standard headings and instructional text for hints and guidelines. Check out our sample page on "Gallery content"

General Content
The main gallery content displayed is driven from a Group in ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS, depending on which system your LocalMaps is set up against. This group can contain webmaps (that will be skinned with the LocalMaps Viewer), web applications, operations dashboards, story maps and links to documents. This main group is what all users will see and must be shared with Everyone. See the Esri Help pages on how to create a group and share content to it. The Group can then be set as your LocalMaps Group in the application settings.

Only reference content you wish to access from the gallery in this main group. Other resources such as hosted feature services, maps services and tables referenced in the maps themselves should be put into a separate group. This is because you may not want those items displayed and accessed by users directly from the gallery. |
Secure Content
You can also provide access to restricted maps and content if necessary. This is particularly useful for internal staff or contractors that may want to use the LocalMaps Gallery as a central destination to access content from your organisation.
To make secure maps available in the LocalMaps gallery, complete the following steps.
- Go to the secure maps item details page.
- Give the item the tag "LocalMaps".
- Share to your secure group. Now, when a member of this group logs into LocalMaps they will see general content AND the secure map that has been shared with them.
