Page Comparison

This section allows the administrator to configure overall settings for LocalMaps. This page is divided into two overarching tabs – General and Widgets. General settings are for components such as what Portal LocalMaps is registered against, the groups to pull content from, the geometry service and viewer information. The Widget settings control configuration of the Print service, Mailing List, Basemap, Add Data and Splash screen widgets. Administrators also have the option here to change the location of the popup or how the maps are ordered in the gallery.

Many of these settings are set during the installation of LocalMaps but if you do wish to change them at a later date you can do so by selecting or entering in new values. If changes to the settings do not come through immediately, try clearing the cache and reloading the page. Please take consideration when doing this as the content of LocalMaps will change.

By default, the main settings page is set to the General settings. If you wish to use the Geometry Service and Print Services currently set in your ArcGIS Online Organisation or Portal, then click Load Defaults. See below for details on each setting on this page:

the Portal or ArcGIS Online organisation LocalMaps is registered in.

Install status

Install status: Complete (read -only)

LocalMaps Group

The ArcGIS Online or Portal Group that contains the content in the LocalMaps Gallery. To change to another group, simply select from the dropdown. This lists all groups in your organisation that your user owns.

LocalMaps Report Group

This group contains maps that are used for reports only. These will not appear in the Gallery. This is useful if you have maps that contain important information for reporting on but you may not necessarily want to make available for users.

Geometry Service URL

The geometry service LocalMaps uses.
