The Datasource section allows administrators to define where they would like to pull information from to use throughout the LocalMaps admin. Datasources can be used to configure various components such as searches, reports, feature queries, IoT Layers and query parameters. Once these are created they can then be added to a specific map, allowing end users to have a tailored experienced with each viewer.

Datasources can be layers from your ArcGIS Online Organization, ArcGIS Enterprise or standalone ArcGIS Server. Alternatively, LocalMaps data-level integration allows administrators to read non spatial information directly from SQL Server, MySQL, PostGres and Oracle DatabasesHilltop and SOS (Sensor Observation Services) can be indexed as IoT Sources allowing administrators to connect to and pull environmental data in near real time.
