This section allows the administrator to configure overall settings for LocalMaps. This page is divided into two overarching tabs – General and Widgets. General settings are for components such as what Portal LocalMaps is registered against, the groups to pull content from, the geometry service and viewer information. The Widget settings control configuration of the Print service, Mailing List, Basemap, Add Data and Splash screen widgets. Administrators also have the option here to change the location of the popup or how the maps are ordered in the gallery.

Many of these settings are set during the installation of LocalMaps but if you do wish to change them at a later date you can do so by selecting or entering in new values. If changes to the settings do not come through immediately, try clearing the cache and reloading the page. Please take consideration when doing this as the content of LocalMaps will change.

Note

General settings such as the Install install status, Version and Viewer information are set up as part of the LocalMaps installation and are therefore read only.

In this section:

General settings

By default, the main settings page is set to the General settings. Administrators also have the option to Load Default Settings. This loads in the Print and Geometry services if they have been set up in your ArcGIS Online or Portal Organisation. For ArcGIS Online users, this will load in the service set under the Organization tab > Edit Settings > Utility Services administrators. This will either be the Esri default Print service or your own self entered service. Using defaults From Portal for ArcGIS

If LocalMaps is set up with Portal for ArcGIS, loading defaults can pull in both the Print Service and Geometry Service if they have been set up for your Organisation.
