Information Banner Settings

The information banner can be used to alert your users about your LocalMaps site status such as reminders, best practices, updates, company policies, schedules and more. Information banners display at the top of your LocalMaps site and are viewable to all users accessing your site. 

The information banner can easily be configured in Information Banner Settings. The banner text can be styled with background and font colors. A contrast ratio indicator is displayed to help you comply with WCAG 2.x accessibility standards.

Info Banner Text

 

  1. Similar to the About Text, Info Banner text can be styled and edited using the HTML editor or standard styling options via the insert / format dropdowns.

  2. To enable the Info Banner, toggle the setting on. The live preview will reflect changes made.

Important: If you wish to include links as underlined text (that indicates a link to be clicked) then you will need to add an underline style to the text. This is not automatically applied when you add in a hyperlink.

Information Banner Colour

 

  1. Set the Background Colour by using the colour picker or by entering a Hex Code.

  2. Set the Font Colour by using the colour picker or by entering a Hex Code.

A contrast ratio of at least 4.5 is required to pass accessibility standards. The ratio will update as you change colours to ensure you meet standards before publishing.
