Release Notes

LocalMaps 2.1 was released in September 2018. It includes the following features and enhancements:

Gallery

Ability to use multiple restricted groups within LocalMaps. Users can log in and see content shared to them from these restricted groups.
Provide direct link to category by appending ?c=<CATEGORYNAME> to the gallery URL.

Mailing List Widget (NEW). Generate a mailing list template from a selection of features.
Popup Side Panel (NEW). Option to use the LocalMaps popup side panel.
Ability to view attachments directly in popup / popup panel e.g images.
Popup will show results after a search is completed.
Geocortex Workflow 5 (NEW). Ability to use Geocortex Workflow 5 within LocalMaps. Configuration of parameters can be set in Administration tools.
Redesigned Draw / Measure UX.
Ability to export drawings as GeoJSON
Elevation Profile widget has been enhanced so you can now choose to either draw a line or select a line to use to generate a profile.
For internal users that are logged in, ability to add in secure data from a group via Add Data widget.
For internal users that are logged in, ability to switch to a restricted map via Switch Map.
Selection will be highlighted on the map when using spatial feature query.
Improvements to search so that suggestions return distinct result. This allows searching over multiple features with same name, suggestion shows once, returns multiple features.
Switch maps will now work with restricted content.
AGOL/Portal credentials can be passed through to the viewer or application when viewing restricted content.
Updated Help links in widget headers to redirect to the Online User Guide (NEW).
Removed tokens from URLs.

Allow refresh of admin page without having to log in again.
Added in links to the Online Administration guide (NEW) from within the Administration pages.

Support for PostgresSQL Database connections.
Support for MySQL Database connections.
Better validation of ArcGIS Server data sources.
Renamed Hilltop to IoT Sources.
Support for SOS and Hilltop as IoT Sources.
Improved error messaging to inform administrators when a Hilltop server is not running.
Ability to search for and use hosted feature services as ArcGIS Online datasources.
Improved warning notifications if administrators try entering mixed content data for AGS Services.

Widget icons have been converted to fonts to allow administrators to set the colour of widget icons.
Combined About Text and Styles configuration into one Styles page.
About text is now a full HTML Editor.

Geocortex Workflow 5 integration. Ability to set parameters from within LocalMaps Admin.
Ability to create group for use in ArcGIS Enterprise Site.
Allow setting of feature map within gallery.
Option to set layers to be selectable when Select Widget opened.
Option to set whether Select results show in Popup Panel or Attribute table.

Option to enable the popup to appear as a side panel.
Splash screen check box text is configurable.
Add in option to configure the sorting options of the gallery.
When setting the LocalMaps Group in the Settings, Administrators can now set groups even if they are not the owner.
Google Analytics has been removed from Settings page. New workflow is outlined in the settings pages of the Administration guide.

Fixed issue where you could not delete Hilltop Layers if they had been deleted from AGOL/Portal.
Fixed issue where if you were using different web adaptor names, this would fail to load hilltop details.
Fixed issue where Draw / Measure would not export GeoJSON.
Fixed issue to now allow refresh when in admin page.
Fixed various issues with Elevation Profile on touch screen devices.
Fixed issue in Switch map where hitting enter would reset filter.
Fixed various mobility issues.
Fixed issue where deleting a Hilltop site did not remove from layer immediately from the admin interface.
Fixed issue in Draw / Measure where bearings disappeared when completing a polyline.
Fixed various issues using points in the Draw / Measure widget.
Fixed issue when locator search would not zoom to location.
Fixed issue where print legend was coming out reversed.
Fixed issue where Hilltop Sites were not reflecting allocated threshold colour.
Fixed issue where Zoom to Point did not zoom to WGS84 Lat-Long Coordinates.
Fixed issue where a feature query could only be added to one map.
Fixed issue where search scale was not adhering to the zoom level set in the admin.
Fixed issue where printing was not working as expected with external REST Services.
