Switch Map

The Switch Map is a way for users to change to another map in LocalMaps without having to go back to the gallery. When used, the widget will switch to another map while maintaining the users current extent. This is particularly useful if users who are interested in another focused map in the same geographic area. 

Switch Map works with both public and secure maps for a user. This means that if a user is logged into LocalMaps and has additional content shared with them, these maps will also be available in the Switch Map panel. 

Use the Switch Map widget.

1. Open the Switch Map widget

2. Map thumbnails and descriptions are displayed in the panel.

3. Click on a map to switch to it or filter down the available maps by entering a title or tag in the search map feature.

4.The map will reload the chosen map while maintaining the users current extent.

5. Click X when done to close the Switch Map Window.
